4-H Health Project
310 HEALTH & FITNESS
In the health project, members learn
preventative health practices and how nutrition, fitness, and
stress are all interrelated.
Focus:
- To Learn Who We Are And How We Live
- To Learn Nutrition, Fitness, and Stress
Reduction
- To Learn about reducing health risks
- To become smart health consumers
What members can do:
- Learn to recognize minor symptoms of
illness
- Develop skills in administering emergency
care
- Become certified in First Aid and CPR
- Visit a health department or general
hospital and learn about services provided
- Check home and provide safe story of
medicines, household cleaning products, and pesticides
- Keep a personal record of activities
to improve health
