640 GEOLOGY
In this project, members learn about
rocks and minerals; how to collect, identify and display them.
Focus:
- To learn the different kinds of rocks
- To learn to collect and care for specimens
- To learn to take safe field trips
- To learn to use maps for collecting
What members can do: (Beginner level)
- Take an exploring field trip
- Tour abstract office for plat maps
- Build a display collection of 15 rocks
- Give a geology demonstration or talk
