Ø Posters must be constructed on poster board / size up to 14” x 22” (1/2 sheet of poster board)
Ø They may be horizontal or vertical.
Ø Posters may be produced by any medium – watercolor, ink, crayon, acrylic, charcoal, collage, etc.
Ø Poster must be flat. Do not use three-dimensional pieces on posters.
Ø Posters will be judged on:
o Educational idea portrayed
o Public appeal
o Creative and Original ability presented
Ø Posters must include 4-H Clover or mention 4-H. Note: When using the official clover with the H’s, the tail should curve to the right and the words 18U.S.C. 707 must appear under the lower right leaflet, except for hand drawn clovers.
Ø Well-known cartoon figures (such as Snoopy, Garfield, Pokemon, etc) cannot be used because they are copyrighted.
Ø For display purposes, exhibitors are encouraged to heat laminate all posters or cover them with clear plastic. Poster must be signed and dated on the back in permanent marker before laminating.
Ø The 4-H member’s name, age, full address, and a statement that describes the poster should be on the back of the poster in the upper left hand corner.
Ø Divisions include:
o 4-H Promotional poster designed to recruit 4-H members or volunteers or promote any 4-H event.
o Poster designed to promote any 4-H project including Competitions Ethics
o Poster designed to promote 4-H using the current 4-H Theme.
