A 4-H officer is someone who holds a certain responsibility in the club, county, district, or state. There are five 4-H offices at the district and state levels, and nine at the county level: President, 1st and 2nd Vice-President, Secretary, Reporter, 2-Song Leaders and 2-Recreation Leaders. The only requirement for a local club office is that you are enrolled in 4-H. Requirements for Carter County 4-H Officers, as found in the Constitution & By-Laws Article IV are as follows: Section 1 - The officers of the Carter County 4-H Club Council shall be President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary, 2 Song Leaders, 2 Recreation Leaders and Reporter. Section 2 - Any candidate for a County 4-H Council Office must have passed his/her 13th birthday by January 1 of the calendar year of election and must be enrolled in Carter County 4-H. Section 3 - Candidates for all county offices must have submitted County Record Books to the County Extension Office at least 2 consecutive years prior to the County election year. The President and 1st Vice President must have submitted a State Record Book for the previous year. The 2nd Vice President, Secretary, Song Leaders, Recreation Leaders and Reporter must have submitted a County Record Book or State Record Book for the previous year. |
