"Master Gardener 2008 Training"

Register now to become an official MASTER GARDENER.  Classes will begin in early September and continue through November.  You'll learn about garden care, landscaping, lawns, pruning, soil improvement and hundreds of other topics.

May 15

(Thursday., 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.)

Pre-registration Cost:  $10, includes herb pot and lunch

"Healthy Cooking with Spices and Herbs"

Learn how to make every dish delicious with fresh herbs.  Session will includes hands-on cooking, cooking demonstrations and our horticulture department will also teach participants to plan herbs to grow in their own kitchen.  (Every participant will pot herbs and take home their own mini herb garden.)

Summer Youth Sewing Camp

Youth ages 10 to 19 can learn to design and sew their own one-of-a-kind garments and decorative items in this week-long sewing camp.

"Kids in the Kitchen" Summer Workshop

Youth ages 9 to 12 can learn the basics of cooking and nutrition in this two-day workshop.  They will practice preparing dishes, and get together with other participants for a home-cooked lunch.

Clover Bud Fun Day

Youth ages 5 to 8 can spend the day with 4-H leaders working on crafts and learning more about nutrition and summer-fun safety (including swimming, fire, playground, stranger and sun) with fun, hands-on activities.

Plan for your child to come spend the day and have lunch during this special 4-H introductory "Fun Day"

"Teens at the Table"

Etiquette and Manners Workshop

If your teen could use some "table manners," this is just the workshop to teach that.  Teens in this workshop will work together to prepare several dishes, then sit together to share their meal while they practice table manners.
